Confusion

It has been said
"Begin at the beginning"
Birds pursue other birds
And so mate to continue their race
Consummate, recreate, leave, forget
Foxes do likewise
And rabbits, elephants,
And humans, though
Generally with more staying power
With a better memory
Pursue to consummate
Consummate to recreate
Recreate to perpetuate
That is the way the world turns

But now it has been said
"The one in heaven peruses you"
Birds pursue birds
Foxes pursue foxes
Rabbits rabbits, etc etc.
God pursues man/woman?
Consummate what?
Recreate what?
Perpetuate what?
And with so little external proof,
One is expected to trust he won't leave.
