oh, what a foolish notion,
that Time, though in constant motion
is too immense of an ocean,
cannot be Controlled by the elocution of Heaven!

that the Cause of every event
whose Ear is permanently bent
to each Petition sent
will not bring about all that is meant to be!

that He does not possess the power
or accidentally tarried an hour
and now His Plans have gone sour
or wilted like a flower in a cold rain
